What is living in your drains?

Don’t worry, not everyone has something living in their drainage system! However, an unmaintained system could result in you having some unwelcome guests in your pipes…

If your drainage system is old and hasn’t received attention in quite some time, it is more likely to suffer damage. This damage can include cracking from being dried out, or bursting from being unable to handle the flow.

Even a slight gap in your pipes can attract nearby tree roots, as they will move towards nearby sources of moisture. These tree roots will break into your pipes, and begin to grow and thrive. This will eventually lead to the formation of a strong blockage in the pipe. At Rapid Response Drain Care, we provide encrustation and root removal services for these situations.

Another problem we can solve is an infestation of rodents in your drainage system. It may be hard to believe but rats can enter and disrupt your pipes, eventually making a home for themselves. Here are some signs which may indicate that rats are present within your property.

  • Small droppings found

  • Bite or scratch marks in furniture

  • Scratching or footstep noises at night

If you suspect you have this problem, our team will need to investigate further and carry out a CCTV Survey.

Trust Rapid Response Drain Care to fix your blocked or damaged drainage system. Contact our team on 01388 347013.
